NFTs have redefined the concepts of digital expression, culture and ownership

In 2020, new opportunities for communicating art emerged, as new internet platforms were introduced and internet streaming became a celebrated new territory for the dance world. Despite the challenging times with so many lockdowns, I have been fortunate enough to continue pursuing my passion for choreographing full-length narrative ballets that tell compelling stories through dance.
On January 27, 2023, the world premiere of "SPARTACUS" took place at The Croatian National Ballet Theatre in Zagreb. To commemorate this special occasion, I proposed a new idea for the dance community that transcends boundaries and can be applied to various creative disciplines such as music, drama, opera, and dance.
The launch of "SPARTACUS NFT" marks a significant moment in dance history, as it represents a unique collectible item. NFTs are a special type of cryptographic token that represent something one-of-a-kind, such as a piece of art that can be stored and collected, and may even increase in financial value over time. With the ownership of this NFT, one can possess a truly unique electronic art souvenir and forever hold a part of the performance. This is the first time a choreographer has utilized blockchain technology within the dance industry.

What is an NFT?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a type of cryptographic token on a blockchain that represents a unique asset. These can either be entirely digital assets or tokenized versions of real-world assets. As NFTs aren’t interchangeable, they may function as proof of authenticity and ownership within the digital realm. It is a unique digital identifier that cannot be copied, substituted, or subdivided, that is recorded in a blockchain, and that is used to certify authenticity and ownership.
